At SPG we do the right thing, at the right time, the right way, for the right reasons. This means our athletes have reduced risk of injury, have extended competitive careers, have a far more positive experience of competitive sport, acquire an advanced mental skill set and ultimately reach the level of performance they are truly capable of. We achieve this through the following five attributes.


Expertise

SPG truly understands sports performance.Our Directors competed at the highest level, hold the leading sports science qualifications in the industry, and have over 35 combined years of developing sporting performance. We have supported Olympians, national teams, world ranked athletes, college athletes and talented juniors. Our dedication to performance excellence is continued through study and collaboration with the leading experts and organizations in the sports science and coaching disciplines.

Science

SPG’s work is underpinned and driven by scientific principles and the latest scientific evidence. Optimal performance can only be driven by a detailed understanding of the fundamental mechanics, physiology and psychology of the human body and applying this knowledge to sports performance. SPG applies scientific principles and research to real world performance and training challenges. Our work with youth athletes is guided by the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model. We closely analyze athletes to identify performance limiters and develop programs that will both specifically address these limiters, whilst optimizing complete performance. This combined with constant review of the latest in sports science research and practice, ensures SPG athletes are developing in the most up to date performance training environment.

Assessment

We start at the right place, taking the time to gain an excellent understanding of each athlete, their strengths and weaknesses, their goals and needs. This ensures that every program is unique to each athlete and maximizes progress and development.

Application

We are called Simply Performance Group for a reason! As experts in sport we are able to take the complexities of science and sporting performance and simplify these into training practices that athletes can easily understand and apply.

Coordination

SPG presents a unique opportunity for athletes to a gain a coordinated program of physical and mental skills training, amplifying the effects on performance of receiving training and support in isolation. SPG also works in partnership with coaches and organizations who share our passion for developing performance.
